Hey friends! My name is Meghan Carlsen. I am a Christian, a wife, a mom, a friend, a Tia, and a daughter. For as long as I can remember, I have been a passionate person. Passionate about Jesus (since 2017), protecting children, healthy marriages, research/learning, physical and mental health, and so much more! I have bounced around from so many jobs in my life trying to figure out what I am good at and how I can serve people. From neuropharmacology research to anti-human trafficking resource coordinating to full-time petsitting to personal training and everything in between! While some of these were just jobs to pay the bills while I was in school, many of them were just me trying to figure out the answer to the question so many of us have: “who the heck am I and what am I supposed to be doing with my life!” I felt so confused and lost at times, but when I became pregnant with my first baby in 2023, it was almost like I could just rest. As I began to research about all the pregnancy/postpartum/mom/baby things, I just felt this sense like “man, idk what you’re doing God, but it feels like all the things I care so deeply about start here.” Family, relationships, friendships, multigenerational impact, culture, health, hope, walking with other people in the hard things – they’re all connected in the home. I absolutely love sharing what I have learned from God and from my experiences with other moms. This blog is the start of creating resources for moms and a space to highlight the unique privilege we have as women to be a whole MOTHER! I honestly just want to be a friend to you on your journey because we’re supposed to do this mom thing together. As women and moms, we bear the image of God and each of us have a unique identity that allows us to bring heaven down for our families and our communities. Your role as a Christian woman and a mom is so much bigger than baby toys, bible studies, and managing challenges. It’s a mission, a gift, a superpower, and a calling! And it stretches far beyond the walls of our home. I still juggle many passions, but my prayer is that each one will be used to serve YOU on your mom journey!
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works; not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” Hebrews 10:24-25
